A habitual offender has been handcuffed and thrown in the slammer after allegedly causing a car crash while under the influence, marking his third arrest for the same boozy blunder, authorities said.

The smash-up went down in the 800 block of N Sam Houston Pkwy W, where deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office arrived on scene on March 2 – they found Juan Sanchez, the driver at fault, who seemed to be well-oiled despite the serious situation, according to a Facebook post by the Constable Mark Herman's Office.

Cops put Sanchez through the paces with a series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and determined he was indeed sloshed, the buzzed driver having a history of two prior convictions for DWI, which only added to the law's impetus to take him off the streets.

"Juan Sanchez was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with his third Driving While Intoxicated offense, his bond was set at $50,000.00 out of the 182nd District Court," the Constable Mark Herman stated, the chronic road menace now potentially facing a stiffer sentence due to his apparent disregard for the sobering lesson of his past run-ins with the patrol.
