Yesterday, deputies were dispatched to a retail location on the 19500 block where suspects had been spotted stealthily securing an array of video games and paraphernalia, bypassing the cash register with no intention to remit payment, according to a recent release on the Constable's Facebook page.
The quick arrival of the constable deputies onto the scene allowed them to catch the suspects in the act as they attempted to vacate the premises. In possession of stolen goods totaling an estimated $2,109.54 – a collection of 46 varied video games and related accessories, the four individuals were promptly detained. Identified as Marquett Swanson, Trinity Conway, Taylor Cleveland, and Lyndafay Bellvin, their capture stemmed from a vigilant report and consequent rapid response from Herman's team.
All four suspects faced charges of theft and were booked into Harris County Jail, with their judicial fates handed over to County Court 9 for determination. As disclosed by Constable Mark Herman, "They were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Theft out of County Court 9." Bonds were set variably, with Lyndafay Bellvin and Trinity Conway receiving bonds of $1,000.00 each. In contrast, Marquett Swanson and Taylor Cleveland's bond were set at a modest $100.00 each.
