A routine traffic stop on Bambiwoods Drive spun into an arrest saga as deputies stumbled upon Alejandro Perez-Cross, a man entangled in a disturbance call and carrying the weight of a felony warrant, authorities said.
Constable Mark Herman's Office revealed the incident unfolded on March 24, where deputies were dispatched to a disturbance in the 19900 block, there they found Perez-Cross and an investigation quickly unearthed his open warrant for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, marking another notch in the long arm of the law.
In a brief statement on Facebook, Herman's office said Alejandro Perez-Cross was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrant
and also noted that his bond proceedings were pending in the hands of the 351st District Court, sources indicated.
The drama on Bambiwoods offered a stark reminder of the routine-yet-unpredictable nature of law enforcement's daily grind where routine checks can spiral into more complicated scenarios involving suspects with histories that hang in the shadows, only coming to light when the blue and reds flash in the rearview mirror.
Details about Perez-Cross' alleged unauthorized vehicle use or the nature of the disturbance call that led to his arrest were not immediately clear, and his bond status was still up in the air at the time of the report, according to Constable Mark Herman's Office.
