Authorities in Harris County are on the hunt for additional victims after arresting 23-year-old Christian Morales, suspected of a heinous sexual assault on a 15-year-old girl. According to a FOX 26 report, the Harris County Sheriff's Office is urging potential victims to step forward following the unsettling discovery of Morales allegedly masking his true age to lure a minor through social media.
Morales reportedly picked up the young girl from her high school post-class hours, misled her to a secluded area near the San Jacinto River, and forcefully assaulted her while capturing the act on video without her consent. The alarm was raised earlier in the year when the HCSO Child Abuse Unit began investigating the assault. In an interview with authorities, Morales admitted to his involvement and suggested there could be other victims, as per the sheriff's office.
Following these developments, a search warrant at the suspect's Montgomery County home led to the seizure of child pornography. Currently, Morales is in custody on separate charges, and investigators from multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office and the Harris County Pct. 5 Constable’s Office, are involved in a wider investigation. The Harris County Sheriff's Office believes more victims are out there and are encouraging them to come forward, Click2Houston reported.
