In a significant bust by local authorities, a suspected drug dealer was nabbed with a veritable pharmacy's worth of illegal substances in Harris County. On the leap year date of February 29, deputies of Constable Mark Herman's Special Operations Unit, along with agents from the Texas Department of Public Safety, cracked down on Michael Turner, who was occupying a motel room in the 700 block of the N Sam Houston Toll Road.

Armed with a felony warrant for Turner's arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance, officials executed the search that turned into a substantial drug seizure. According to Constable Mark Herman's Facebook page, a loaded firearm and a cocktail of narcotics—including cocaine, ecstasy, pressed pills, oxycodone, promethazine, mushrooms, methamphetamine, marijuana, and heroin—were found in Turner's possession.

The cache, logically hidden but discovered by the deputies, weighed in at sizable quantities: 92 grams of cocaine, 32 grams of ecstasy, 70 grams of pressed pills, 6 grams of oxycodone, 2 grams of promethazine, 250 grams of mushrooms, 4 grams of methamphetamine, 3 ounces of marijuana, and 2.29 ounces of heroin. This discovery has thrust Turner into the harsh light of the law, facing serious charges beyond the warrant.

"Michael Turner was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrant and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver," stated Constable Mark Herman. While the operation was underway, Turner's bond amount had not been set by the 338th District Court at that time.
