Traveling through Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport just got a little bit smoother for drivers. In an effort to streamline the parking process, the airport has introduced the option for drivers to pay for parking at its West Parking Deck using the Peach Pass. FOX5 Atlanta reports that the new service, dubbed Peach Pass Plus, automatically charges the airport parking payment to the credit or debit card attached to a traveler’s account. This service aims to help drivers zip through the airport parking experience without the hassle of traditional payment methods.
Those with the Peach Pass, which has already been a tool for navigating toll roads, have been auto-enrolled in the Peach Pass Plus program, provided their account is set up for auto-replenishments. Despite the convenience, the parking charges, set at $3 per hour or $16 per day, do not influence the balance of the Peach Pass; instead, they are billed directly to the user's default card on file, as FOX5 Atlanta elaborates.
Implementation of the Peach Pass Plus service is simple – on arriving at the ATL West Deck, the parking system identifies the Peach Pass, granting access to the user. Upon returning, passengers can depart via the same gate, which facilitates an automatic charge to their card. For those preferring traditional methods, opting out of Peach Pass Plus can be managed through the Peach Pass website or the Peach Pass Go! 2.0 mobile app, as per instruction from WSB-TV.
For commuters interested in utilizing this new system, the Georgia State Road and Tollway Authority indicates that enrollment is accomplished by ensuring a debit or credit card is linked for auto-replenishments on a Peach Pass account. Once updated, travelers are set to start using the feature immediately. Directions to the ATL West Deck with signs pointing the way once at the airport, as noted by WSB-TV, can be found on various points of Metro Atlanta to help drivers navigate their way to the facility.
As part of the expanding benefits of the Peach Pass, earlier this year, officials announced that the service now makes Georgia drivers eligible to use their passes for toll roads across 18 states, adding to the versatility and convenience of the Peach Pass system. Now, with the addition of Peach Pass Plus, Hartsfield-Jackson looks to further enhance the efficiency that it offers to the globetrotters it serves every day.
