Turner-Madden had been missing for over a week, last seen on March 10 outside her Blossom Way residence. The call for public assistance was made due to growing concerns for her welfare owing to her medical and developmental conditions. As described in a post by Hoodline, she suffers from diabetes and has a developmental disability, which added a layer of urgency to the search efforts.
At the time of her disappearance, Emily was described as 5'5" tall, around 230 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Her family and friends had been mobilized, canvassing the Hayward area for any sign of her, specifically checking local spots where she had previously been found — the Hayward Bart Station and Meekland Avenue.
Police had sharpened their focus on these areas, cognizant of the pattern that might lead to a swift end to the search, an end that indeed came with the announcement of her being found. Information on the circumstances of Emily's return has not been disclosed except for confirming her safe location. In such moments, the efficacy of community vigilance has once again proven invaluable.
The Alameda County Sheriff's office did not provide details on her condition but thanked the public for its help. If anyone has future concerns or information relevant to similar cases, they are advised by the sheriff's office to call (510) 667-7721 or their local law enforcement agency.
