Chaos ensued on a Houston freeway when police apprehended a man who allegedly caused a disturbance and later threatened to kill law enforcement officers, authorities said. Deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office were called to a scene on the 16100 block of the North Freeway on the afternoon of March 24th, where they encountered the unruly suspect, identified as Patrick Oneill.
Upon their arrival, the situation escalated as Oneill reportedly became verbally combative and disregarded commands by deputies. According to the precinct's Facebook page, in a turn of events, the suspect issued a dire threat against the constable deputies.
"Patrick Oneill was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Retaliation. His bond was set at $100.00 out of the 262nd District Court." Constable Mark Herman stated. The circumstances surrounding the initial disturbance that brought officers to the scene have not been disclosed.
The deputies involved managed to avoid any injuries while dealing with a potentially volatile situation. Further details about Oneill's motives and the nature of the threats remain under investigation.
