A man was nabbed in Houston for driving a hot rod, toting a sawed-off shotgun, narcotics, and nicked IDs, cops said. Juan Hurtado was pulled over after a flock safety alert fingered a stolen vehicle with armed goons aboard on Dakar Drive on February 29.
The sergeant who stopped Hurtado found more than he bargained for. He wasn't just allegedly cruising in a swiped car – he had a short-barreled shotgun and drugs on him, plus a stash of stolen personal info. The bust turned out to be a trifecta for the law, according to a post by the Precinct 4 Constable's office.
Hurtado got a free ride to the Harris County Jail where he got slapped with charges including Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He'll have to cool his heels there until he can bond out of the 180th District Court.
