A woman has been nabbed by the local constables for allegedly shoplifting more than $400 in goods from the Houston Premium Outlets, authorities said. Bionca Crawford, the accused, was caught after deputies responded to a call at the outlet mall located in the 29300 block of Northwest Freeway on February 25, 2024.
According to the Facebook page of Constable Mark Herman's Office, the suspect was reported to have concealed merchandise valued at over $433.00 and tried to quickly leave the store without paying. Constables were able to locate Crawford on the premises.
The recovered merchandise was returned to its rightful business, and Crawford was subsequently arrested on a theft charge. In what has become a narrative of minor thefts escalating to police intervention, this latest incident sheds light on the continuous challenges retail establishments face with shoplifting offenses.
"Bionca Crawford was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Theft. Her bond was set at $100.00 out of County Court 4," Constable Mark Herman's statement glaringly reaffirms the consequences that follow such alleged actions. The arrest serves as a stark reminder to would-be offenders that theft is met with legal repercussions.
