Atlanta's bike enthusiasts swarmed the Buckhead area on Sunday for the landmark inauguration of the Big Peach Social Ride along the PATH400, with hundreds pedaling through the six-mile stretch. Setting off from the popular Eclipse di Luna eatery, riders banded together to celebrate and inspect the sprawling greenway designed for both leisure and commute. As per FOX 5 Atlanta, the event, the initiative of Big Peach Ride + Run, sought not only to delight but to educate, with Propel ATL stepping in to school participants on safety and street coexistence.
The trail features a fusion of urban and natural scenery, promising a rich experience for cyclists and pedestrians alike. Local retailer Big Peach Ride + Run, spearheading the ride, underscored the multipurpose trail as a fresh biking destination. Meanwhile, the Executive Director of Livable Buckhead, Denise Starling provided progress reports on the construction of PATH400, and its upcoming extensions, in a statement obtained by Rough Draft Atlanta.
The Big Peach Social Ride encouraged cyclists of all stripes to join the moving revelry for free, although it mandated pre-ride registration. For those lacking the requisite wheels, Musette ATL offered bike rentals, complete with a sweet discount proffered through the promo code RIDEPEACHY. The ride culminated back at its starting point, where Eclipse di Luna rewarded riders with special deals on food and refreshments.
