
A devastating house fire claimed the life of an individual in Pflugerville, Austin on Thursday night, as firefighters faced the added danger of live downed power lines near the home. The Travis County Fire Marshal’s Office is delving into the origins of the inferno, which engulfed a single-family residence on Central Commerce Drive, according to KXAN.
Responders from Travis County ESD No. 2 rushed to the scene, where they stumbled upon a fire victim already deceased amid the chaos of smoke and flame, as per KXAN. Despite the moderate to heavy fire conditions, fire crews quickly initiated a defensive strategy after finding, active downed wires posed an immediate risk just outside the stricken household.
