A 57-year-old woman, Tammy Snow, was found dead in a secluded wooded area of Llano County, Texas after she was reported missing earlier last week. The Llano County Sheriff's Office together with Texas Rangers, are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.

The body was discovered off County Road 321 on Saturday, March 16. Prior reports indicated that Snow had not been sighted since the evening of March 12 near Long's Fishing Camp, where she had been camping alongside the Llano River. It is understood, according to FOX 7 Austin, that Snow had driven off the roadway into a densely wooded area and later received a ride back to her campsite between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. that same day. Fellow campers reported last seeing her around 9 p.m. walking on CR 321.

After being notified of her disappearance on March 15, deputies found that Snow had left behind her belongings, including her two dogs. The animals were found in good condition inside her vehicle and have since been taken to a local animal shelter, as described in a statement obtained by CBS Austin.

The search for Snow was extensive, employing resources such as STARFlight, drones, and ATVs, as well as teams from Texas Parks and Wildlife and Texas Equusearch. Her body was eventually located in the wooded area off CR 321. The Llano County Sheriff's Office is urging anyone with any information regarding Tammy Snow to reach out and contact them at 325-247-5767, as reported by FOX 7 Austin.

As of now, the sheriff's office has not publicly disclosed any further details about the case, and the investigation into Snow's death continues to actively progress. The authorities have yet to determine if foul play was involved or to release any findings from an autopsy if one has been conducted.
