The fire, which engulfed a two-story residence on Malcolm Avenue, drew a concerted response from forty LAFD firefighters who arrived quickly at the scene.
The official LAFD alert reports that the fire broke out in a 3,795-square-foot home built in 1927. Engulfing both the attic and second floor, firefighters managed to contain and suppress the flames in a swift 31 minutes, beginning their efforts at approximately 1:25 AM and concluding by 1:56 AM.
