The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is turning to the public in a bid to find Joel Jacob Flores Gonzalez, a 30-year-old Hispanic male who mysteriously disappeared in the early hours of March 20. According to the alert issued by the Sheriff's Information Bureau, Gonzalez was last spotted around 3 a.m. on the 2700 block of Glenwood Avenue in Southgate.
Standing at 5’11” and weighing in at 195 pounds, Gonzalez has brown eyes, black hair, and notable tattoos—prayer hands clasping a rosary with the name "Damian" on his left chest and two elephants with the name "Petra" on the right, the night he vanished he was dressed in a black shirt paired with gray pants and his family has expressed deep concern for his welfare and are appealing for anyone with information to step forward.
The search for Gonzalez has been met with urgency, with pleas from loved ones painting a picture of anxiety over his sudden loss of contact. Those who may have seen him or have any information regarding his whereabouts are encouraged to call the Missing Persons Unit at the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, at (323) 890-5500.
