The streets of the San Fernando Valley were rocked by violence when a sixty-year-old man was fatally shot in what police are still trying to piece together. The Los Angeles Police Department's Valley Bureau Homicide detectives have appealed to the public for assistance in tracking down the individual, or individuals, who may be responsible for this crime that unfolded on March 25, 2024. According to LAPD Newsroom, the incident occurred around 7:20 p.m., when officers were called to the 7500 block of Jamieson Avenue following reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, responding officers discovered the victim lying on the street with numerous gunshot wounds. His vehicle, parked nearby, also appeared to have been squarely aimed at, with bullet holes marking the passenger side. Despite swift action by the Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics to rush the victim to the nearest hospital, he was pronounced dead, unable to overcome the severity of his injuries.
As the investigation continues, detectives urge anyone with information to step forward and assist in the ongoing efforts to unravel to quickly apprehend the suspect or suspects.
