Los Angeles gets drenched with showers and lightning shows, folks. Today's weather is going to be all about the wet stuff, and a thunderstorm isn't just a possibility—it's expected after 11 a.m., with temps barely hitting the 62-degree mark. The shift from an easterly breeze to the south in the afternoon isn't going to dry things out either—the chance of precipitation at a soaking 80%. And we're not talking a drizzle, people, expect between a tenth and a quarter of an inch of rainfall, but if thunderstorms hit, get ready for more, as reported by the National Weather Service.

Don't put those umbrellas away just yet. Tonight, the shower and possible thunderstorm party continue until around 11 p.m., and even after, expect more showers with temps dipping to about 47 degrees. The southeast wind isn't going to pick up much, staying around 5 mph, but the chance of precipitation spikes to a drenched 90%. That's right, LA's going to get between a quarter and, half an inch more rain, by tonight.

But hold on, there's a light at the end of this wet tunnel. It looks like the clouds are rolling out come Thursday, with the weather service forecasting "mostly sunny" with a high pushing 65. Those west winds at 5 to 10 mph should help drive away the last of the rains. Thursday night's forecast is leaning towards clear skies, with lows hovering around 48 degrees and that west-northwest wind calming down after dark, according to the National Weather Service.

It's all shades of sunshine by the time we hit Friday, folks. A sunny high of 67 is on the scoreboard, with a gentle north wind shifting southwest by morning. Watch out for gusts that could reach up to 15 mph, though. And as the sun dips Friday night, expect another clear sky with lows at a cool 49 degrees.

The weekend's looking up for the City of Angels with Saturday and Sunday both rocking plenty of sunlight. Daytime highs are climbing up to around 70, and it's more of the clear skies at night with lows just ducking below the 50-degree line. Even as the week starts, the fog rolls in at night but burns off to partly sunny days with highs in the upper 60s. So gear up for a wet start, but a gorgeous, sunny end to the week, as per the National Weather Service.
