A blaze erupted at a residence in Pacific Palisades, with the first signs of trouble spotted at approximately 2:02 PM yesterday. The Los Angeles Fire Department hurried to 17606 W Camino De Yatasto, where flames were visible from the front of a two-story house, as confirmed by an LAFD alert. The incident, which bore the code INC#0861, prompted a full-scale emergency response from multiple fire stations including FS 23 under the command of Battalion 9 in the West Bureau, within Council District 11.
Despite the challenging circumstances, a contingent of 31 firefighters tackled the fire head-on, heroically battling the conflagration that started in a vehicle within the property's garage. After a 34-minute effort, the LAFD announced a "knockdown" of the fire in the large, approximately 5,288-square-foot home, as reported by LAFD's Brian Humphrey. Remarkably, following the vehicle that was ablaze and while contents within the garage, no injuries were reported at the scene of the fire.
