According to an LAFD alert, the fire was reported at 11:01 AM at 7720 N Coldwater Canyon Av. Firefighters were dispatched and arrived promptly, initiating an offensive attack and scouring the residence to verify that no individuals were left in the flames.
Despite the initial chaos, the fire department achieved a knockdown on the inferno within a mere 21 minutes. An updated statement from the LAFD reported that forty-one firefighters were at the scene, working rapidly to control and extinguish the fire. In the course of their efforts, they rescued two people—a critically injured adult male and an adult female with minor injuries—along with three pets.
