Flames ravaged a single-family home in Shadow Hills late yesterday evening before Los Angeles firefighters subdued the inferno. At approximately 10:37 PM, fire crews were dispatched to 8345 N Broadacre Dr, where they encountered a one-story structure ablaze. Engaging in an offensive assault, the firefighters battled the fire showing from the home, according to an LAFD alert.
Despite the challenges firefighters faced gaining access to the heart of the fire, notably due to an excessive accumulation of personal property, their efforts were not wasted. The blaze, which proved stubborn, was knocked down in 19 minutes. After the smoke cleared, fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident that temporarily lighted the night sky with its ferocity.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, as specialized units were called to handle the emergency. Teams from Fire Station 77, alongside Battalions 12 and 14, were documented as being among the first responders. Valiant efforts by these battalions were coordinated under the umbrella of the Valley Bureau and Council District 2, detailed in the LAFD knockdown report.
