
Early Friday morning, a fire broke out at a strip mall in South Gate, prompting a large response from the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Reported at around 7 a.m., the blaze engulfed parts of a commercial building located near the intersection of Firestone Boulevard and Santa Fe Avenue, with firefighters tackling the flames from both the rooftop and the ground, as reported by NBC Los Angeles.

Battling the fire, crews were seen on the scene, with efforts still ongoing to contain it, according to a post from the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The strip mall featured various businesses, including a check cashing service and a laundromat, and footage showed firefighters ventilating parts of the roof as smoke billowed out.
While emergency personnel brought the situation under control, certain roads in the vicinity remained closed. The cause of the fire has not been determined, and no injuries have been reported either to firefighters or civilians, as per FOX LA.
