Deputies snapped into action on Wednesday after receiving a tip-off about a suspicious character lurking around an apartment complex garage on Gosling Road. When constables from Mark Herman's Office arrived at the scene, they caught the suspect red-handed as he was busily loading appliances onto a trailer.
The man, later identified as Matthew Cavitt, didn't manage to slip away with his ill-gotten gains. He was immediately detained and an ensuing investigation quickly unfolded to reveal that he had indeed illegally entered the garage with the intent to commit burglary.
According to the Constable's Office, "Matthew Cavitt was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Burglary of a Building. His bond and court information have not been set at this time."
