
A man was critically injured following a shooting that occurred outside a bar near the Temple University campus in Philadelphia yesterday night. According to FOX 29, the incident began with a fight that spilled onto the streets around 10 p.m., near Broad and Oxford streets. The 42-year-old victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his neck, stomach, and back.
Action News reported that Temple University officials confirmed no students or staff were involved in the shooting, which unfolded across from a student dormitory, Morgan Hall. Police are actively trying to locate the suspect, who was last seen fleeing the scene and was potentially wearing a shirt marked "security."
As the man battles for his life at Temple Hospital in extremely critical condition, the search for the shooter intensifies. CBS News Philadelphia noted authorities are on the lookout for a man who had "security" emblazoned on the back of his shirt in connection with the heinous act.
