
A 39-year-old man was fatally shot in North Seattle, prompting a homicide investigation early Wednesday morning, according to a report from the Seattle Police Department.
The Seattle Police Department said officers were patrolling near North 105th Street and Aurora Avenue North around 2:30 a.m. when they heard the sound of gunfire. They were to swiftly respond to what would become a crime scene, where multiple 911 calls had reported a man shot at a gas station close by.
Upon arrival, the man was found with gunshot injuries outside the gas station. Officers commenced CPR until Seattle Fire Department medics took over, but the man ultimately died from his wounds, as the Seattle Police Department reported.
No suspects have been publicly identified as the Homicide Unit and the Crime Scene Investigation Unit were to begin their investigation into the shooting. Details about the circumstances of the shooting have not yet been released as detectives continue to work thoroughly to ascertain what led up to the tragic incident.
