
A man was found shot to death inside his home in Koreatown, local authorities report. The Los Angeles Police Department responded late Monday night to a home on Normandie Avenue after receiving an assault with a deadly weapon call.
Officers discovered the man with a fatal gunshot wound to the head, reflecting a grim scene within what should have been the safety of his own residence. The unidentified victim, described as a man in his late 20s to early 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. As per KABC, a suspect has yet to be described, and police are scratching their heads over the motive for this killing.
In a heart-wrenching moment, during the investigation, a distraught woman was overheard exclaiming "They killed him!" in Spanish, implying a witness to the aftermath or an associated party to the deceased. Her relationship with the victim, if any, has not been disclosed by the authorities.
Detectives are probing into the circumstances surrounding this case while info on a possible suspect or suspects has not been aired to the public. The incident led to the closure of Normandie Avenue between 6th St. and Wilshire Blvd., as investigators cordoned off the area to gather evidence. Due to the ongoing police activity, LA Metro Bus announced a detour for LINE 206 via Mariposa between Wilshire and 6th until 10 am. This alert was disseminated to commuters to avoid inconvenience and informed CBS Los Angeles.
