A man is in critical condition after a shooting at a Missouri City home on Tuesday evening, according to the Houston Police Department.
Officers responded to a call around 8:45 p.m. at a residence located in the 7500 block of Glenbriar Place, Houston police, found the man suffering from gunshot wounds amid reports of a disturbance initial reports indicated that the shooting occurred following an argument with a family member, however, further witness statements have muddled the situation by claiming ignorance of the altercation's participants.
The victim was quickly transported to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition, as per a statement obtained by KIAH. The identity of the victim has not been released, and no arrests have been made at this time.
An active investigation is in place to piece together the events that led to the shooting, Houston police are now working through conflicting accounts to ascertain who was involved and the motive behind the violence while neighbors and locals are left in the aftermath of yet another act of senseless violence that pierces the sanctity of what we call home.
