A stabbing in Long Beach left a man with wounds to the upper body, police said Wednesday. The attack occurred outside the 300 block of West Golden Shore on Tuesday, March 27, just before 10 p.m. Emergency responders rushed the victim, described only as a male adult, to a local hospital with injuries that were thankfully deemed non-life-threatening.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, the initial investigation suggested that an altercation between the victim and a suspect, who is acquainted with the victim, escalated to a violent stabbing. Officials said the suspect managed to escape before police arrived at the scene. The motive for the attack remained unclear as the LBPD continued its hunt for the perpetrator.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel were on the scene swiftly to provide aid. "Upon arrival, officers contacted a male adult victim with non-life-threatening stab wounds to the upper body," as per the Long Beach Police Department. The medical team's quick response likely played a significant role in preventing the injuries from becoming fatal.
