The victim, who has not been identified, was found by Long Beach Police Department officers responding to reports of gunfire around 7 p.m. on March 21. According to the official LBPD blotter, the wounded man was quickly transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as the investigation is actively ongoing.
In a separate incident on East Eagle Street, gun violence claimed the life of another male adult, with the LBPD dispatching officers following a report of shots being fired. The police found the victim with a critical gunshot wound to his upper body around 4:05 p.m. on March 20. Despite efforts from officers and Long Beach Fire Department paramedics, the man later died in the hospital from his injuries. The suspect related to this shooting has eluded the police, and homicide detectives have taken over the case, the LBPD confirmed.
