A tragic turn of events unfolded on a Cobb County road yesterday morning, resulting in the death of a 27-year-old motorcyclist. Trevion Oglesby of Marietta, lost his life in a collision while riding his 2017 Honda CBR500R, as reported by FOX 5 Atlanta.
The crash occurred at about 7:40 a.m. on Holly Springs Road south of Davis Road. Attempting to pass a vehicle that was turning right into a construction site, Oglesby used the center turn lane, leading to the unfortunate event of his motorcycle spiraling out of control. Striking a 2017 Porsche 911, which was driving south and had swerved to avoid the crash, medics rushed Oglesby to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, but he did not survive his injuries, as Cobb County Police Department shared.
While the Porsche driver escaped unscathed, authorities remain uncertain about what caused Oglesby to lose control. The investigation into the crash continues, and anyone with information is urged to come forward. As WSB-TV details the Porsche veered towards a private driveway as the front of the motorcycle made impact with the vehicle's front left side.
