Minneapolis residents are tuning in for a significant neighborhood transformation, as the city has announced a community meeting to discuss the Upper Harbor redevelopment, slated for March 26. The expansive new development, which stretches along the North Side from Washington Avenue to the Mississippi River, promises a mixed bag of residential and commercial spaces, alongside a sprawling 20-acre park and a community performing arts center, according to the Minneapolis, City of Lakes.
United Properties, the development team taking the lead on the Upper Harbor project, invites the public to a detailed presentation of the latest project updates. Among the topics on the agenda, is a proposal for a Health & Wellness Hub designed to serve the community's needs. The upcoming meeting will throw light on the development's next steps, offering residents a chance to ask questions and offer feedback.
The gathering is open to all and will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Urban Research and Outreach-Engagement Center (UROC), located at 2001 Plymouth Ave. N. Those interested in the future of the Upper Harbor, including the new riverside park, are encouraged to attend and join the conversation about how this project will reshape the North Side neighborhood, as per the Minneapolis, City of Lakes.
