A 20-year-old motorcyclist identified as Charles Hardin is fighting for his life following a harrowing collision on Macland Road in Cobb County. FOX 5 Atlanta reported that the incident, involving multiple vehicles, occurred Wednesday evening near McEachern High School.

According to Cobb County Police, the crash unfolded around 7:30 p.m. when Hardin's eastbound Suzuki ZX636 motorcycle struck a westbound Infiniti FX attempting a left turn onto Line Tree Lane, resulting in Hardin being thrown off his bike directly into an awaiting Honda CR-V the Suzuki collided with the right side of the Infiniti, the bike’s momentum sent Hardin flying before smashing into the CR-V. As reported by the Marietta Daily Journal, the Infiniti was operated by 53-year-old Jerrie Wilson of Powder Springs, and the Honda was driven by 64-year-old Susan O'Connor of Dallas, both of whom escaped the crash without injuries.

Emergency responders rushed Hardin to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital with serious injuries. Meanwhile, the circumstances leading to the accident are being scrutinized, and police are currently piecing together the chain of events that culminated in this near-fatal ordeal, an inquiry that remains active.
