Relief swept through Oak Ridge as two teenagers, Micala Langer and Emma Uribe, both aged 13, who had been reported missing, were found safe. The Oak Ridge Police Department had issued a call for help to the public on Wednesday afternoon, detailing the last known whereabouts and descriptions of the young girls.
WVLT reported that Langer was last seen near Gum Hollow Rd., dressed in black jeans, a black shirt, and white Converse tennis shoes. Simultaneously, Uribe was noted to have been in the vicinity of Pallas Rd., outfitted in blue jeans, a sweatshirt, and black and white Converse shoes, possibly carrying a bag of toiletries.
The Oak Ridger initially shared the Oak Ridge Police Department's special bulletin sent out via the ORPD's emergency alert system late on March 13. The public's prompt attention and support were sought, as the community's vigilance can often turn the tide in situations of this nature.
