In a brazen beauty heist, two women are now facing the long arm of the law after swiping over $6,300 worth of merchandise from an Ulta beauty store in Brentwood. The theft, which went down on Monday at the Streets of Brentwood shopping center, triggered an all-points bulletin after the suspects fled the scene, Brentwood Police reported.

Acting on a tip, officers quickly got ahold of the Streets of Brentwood security footage which captured the suspect's license plate – a rental, the go-to getaway for crafty retail thieves trying to stay off the radar. The Brentwood Police Department said the rental vehicle is "common for organized retail thieves to use" to make a clean escape.

As luck would have it, later that evening, Hercules Police Department located the getaway car with 19-year-old Andrea Glaser of Oakland, and 21-year-old Tyerra Townsend of Pittsburg inside. The two young women, apparently unable to resist confessing, admitted to the theft and disclosed they had already sold the goods in Oakland and San Francisco, scoring some cash but leaving the cops without the goods.

At the scene, cops found about $1,000 stashed on the duo. Glaser, already on the hook for other warrants and Townsend, in a tight spot with a felony probation in Contra Costa County, now both face charges for organized retail theft. "Both suspects admitted to stealing from Ulta and also said they sold the stolen merchandise in Oakland and San Francisco for cash," Brentwood Police Department stated in a message on their Facebook page.

The heist might have been a clean getaway were it not for the sharp-eyed Streets of Brentwood security and the swift response of Hercules PD, whose teamwork is a testament to the city's crackdown on such capers. Brentwood law enforcement praised the collaborative effort, showing once again that when it comes to keeping the streets safe, it's all hands on deck.
