Tragedy struck the streets of Southeast DC as gunfire echoed through the neighborhood, culminating in one man dead and two others wounded. Officials later revealed that three individuals had arrived at a local hospital. Among them, an adult male and a juvenile male both received treatment for injuries deemed not life-threatening. However, the third victim’s fate took a grievous turn when he succumbed to his wounds on Thursday. The deceased, now identified as 26-year-old Amaru Cureton, hailed from the very streets where his life was abruptly ended.
