
A 21-year-old man has been injured following a roll-over ATV accident in Morrison County, according to a local sheriff's office. The incident occurred near Lastrup, MN, where the victim, identified as Dominick Herold of Pierz, was driving a side-by-side ATV that crashed on 193rd Street on the afternoon of March 25, as reported by the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office.
The call came approximately at 3:50 pm, with reports specifying the vehicle was eastbound in a ditch when it struck a road approach, causing it to roll over multiple times. Deputies suspect alcohol was likely played a role in the mishap, although the case remains under investigation. Efforts to safely extricate and attend swiftly to the young man's needs were undertaken by the first responders at the scene.
Herold was transported to St. Gabriel's Hospital by Mayo Clinic Ambulance, as per the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office. The extent of his injuries has not been disclosed, and updates on his condition remain awaited. Bystanders and the immediate community were quick to react, with emergency teams arriving promptly after being alerted to the accident.
According to the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office, multiple agencies inclusive of the MN State Patrol, Pierz Fire Department, and the Pierz First Response Team, were called to assist. The collaborative effort among the different departments ensured that the necessary care was urgently administered to Herold.
