A man was found dead late Tuesday night after police responded to an emergency at an East Austin apartment complex, marking the city's 12th homicide of the year.
Authorities arrived at the scene following a Shoot/Stab Hotshot call at 11:20 p.m. at the Fort Branch Apartment Complex, located at 5800 Techni Center Drive as reported by CBS Austin, the man, identified as a Hispanic in his 40s, had obvious signs of trauma and despite the life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene, said Officer Jeremy Fisher in a statement obtained by CBS Austin.
As the Austin Police Department continues to investigate the incident, no arrests have yet been made and the police have not identified any suspects, according to information from KVUE.
