
A tragic late-night car crash has claimed the lives of three women, the Pomona Police Department reports. The incident occurred at the intersection of White Ave and Phillips Blvd on Saturday night, where responding officers discovered a two-vehicle collision that left several individuals with moderate to severe injuries; two victims were pronounced dead at the scene, while another passed away after being transported to a local hospital, the identities of the deceased remain undisclosed pending family notification.
The driver of one of the vehicles, Victor Siharath, 36, of Pomona, was the sole occupant of an SUV involved in the crash, was arrested on the spot after officers arriving at the chaotic scene determined he was driving under the influence of alcohol leading to a charge of Felony DUI, this according to the traffic services bureau.
The grisly event is now under intense scrutiny by the Pomona Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Team, with a call out for witnesses or anyone with information to step forward and contribute to the ongoing investigation by contacting the Traffic Services Bureau directly, as stated in the police report found on Nixle.
