According to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), the incident, registered as INC#0819, saw flames devouring multiple rooms of a one-story residence located at 6622 S 5th Av. Smoke was seen billowing from the home before firefighters arrived on the scene.
The LAFD's quick response, arriving at 1:32 PM, allowed for an effective control of the situation. Within a tight span of just 14 minutes, the first wave of 22 firefighters contained the fire, preventing it from causing further devastation. The strategy included establishing hose lines, making entry, and initiating an aggressive fire attack. There were no injuries reported in the conflagration. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, as reported by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Efforts to douse the flames wrapped up by 1:46 PM as firefighters managed to extinguish the fire. The units dispatched to the scene included Battalion 13, South Bureau, and Council District 8, as detailed in the report.
