In a sharp move to boost local commerce, the City of San Antonio joins forces with Herospace to bolster the digital footprint of its small business community. With the infusion of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, the newly unveiled Digital Presence Program extends a helping hand to entrepreneurs looking to enhance their online appeal to customers.
Those dipping into the world of digital marketing can expect comprehensive support, being guided through an initial survey which spits out a detailed report pinpointing the current state of their web savvy. However, to snag the free digital service perks, businesses must fit the size guidelines and firmly plant their roots in San Antonio turf.
"The City of San Antonio is home to a variety of small businesses that each have their own unique business needs," Brenda Hicks-Sorensen, Director of San Antonio's Economic Development Department, highlighted the critical nature of a robust digital presence. "A company's digital presence can be pivotal for awareness and customer growth which is why we are bringing professional digital services resources where there is a need," as reported by the City of San Antonio News Release.
Breaking down the online barrier, the program lays out a digital road map after intimate consultations with a digital marketing expert, covering website enhancement, social media strategies, and even photo and video improvement. It prioritizes those who struggle most with their cyber persona or those boxed in by city development projects.
Small business owners in particular, stand to gain insights into website optimization, social media engagement, and digital strategies to attract potential buyers all while keeping their current clientele in the loop. Through this initiative, the visibility and connectivity of San Antonio's small business network are poised for an upswing. Interested parties are directed to the Digital Presence Program’s website to kickstart their digital transformation journey.
