Trouble in Tiburon took a turn for the worse when a knife-wielding San Francisco man, already on the hook for multiple felonies, was nabbed by the cops after a 911 call reported a dangerous dispute in a vehicle early last Sunday. The Tiburon Police Department, quick on the draw after the alarming call, encountered more than just a heated argument – they found narcotics and paraphernalia, along with the suspect trying to pull a fast one with a fake ID.
Things escalated quickly on that fateful March 19th when the Tiburon police encountered the dubious duo during their investigation. The man, whose antics only added to the already tall pile of $75,000 worth of felony warrants for charges including narcotics violations, resisting arrest, and vandalism, didn't make it far before he was cuffed and stuffed into the Marin County Jail. According to Tiburon PD's Instagram page, the woman involved got off with a citation for possession of suspected narcotics.
"The call reported a disturbing altercation in a vehicle, where threats were made, and a knife was brandished," the Tiburon PD recounted on their social media. This was no petty squabble over directions or whose song choice would reign supreme – it was a potentially dangerous clash that could have spiraled out of control had the authorities not intervened when they did.
The Tiburon Police Department took to Instagram to remind residents to keep their eyes peeled and their wits about them – vigilance is, after all, a communal affair. They eloquently urged the public to report any suspicious activity, no matter how inconsequential it might seem.
