Sherburne County's very own commissioners are ditching the boardroom for something a bit more casual. The local leaders have marked their calendars for a low-key lunch meeting slated for March 5 at Zimmerman's hotspot, the Zimmerman Café Bar Bowl.
Before anyone jumps the gun—there's no official county business on the menu. It's just a social thing, no agendas and no county chatter planned. And for the curious folks out there, it's an open-door event. If you're itching to see your commissioners in a different light, or maybe just catching them pass the salt, this is the shot. The gathering kicks off at 11 a.m. or shortly after, for those running on commissioner time.
Rest assured, this isn't the stuff of closed-door whispers and hushed deals. According to an official release from Sherburne County, "No county business will be discussed, and no agenda is prepared for this social gathering." This is about as casual as it gets for a bunch of government officials, folks.
Located at 25920 Gateway Drive, the venue of choice is right in the heart of Zimmerman. All you need is to show up, grab a seat, and you can watch the county's commissioners talk shop—well, anything but county shop, that is. You've got questions or need more intel on the lunch? Hit up Sherburne County Administrator Bruce Messelt; he's the man in the know. Give him a ring at (763) 765-3007 or shoot an email over at [email protected].
