A woman's big-screen grab-and-dash was cut short when she was nabbed by law enforcement at a Texas Walmart last week. Constable Mark Herman's Office reported that a female suspect, later identified as Sharonda Hall, tried to walk off with two televisions and a sound bar worth over $595 from the Walmart on the Northwest Freeway.

Herman's deputies swooped in on March 9 after being tipped off by Walmart staff about the attempted heist. Unfortunately for the quick-fingered suspect, the constables caught up with her before she could make the exit with the electronics. In a statement provided by Constable Herman's office, it was noted that "the merchandise was recovered and returned to the business."

This wasn't Hall's first rodeo, as it turns out. She was revealed to be a convicted felon with a prior theft conviction, raising the stakes of her latest alleged retail ruse. Her repeat offender status didn't do her any favors in avoiding the long arm of the law.

"Sharonda Hall was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Theft. Her bond was set at $100.00 out of County Court," said Constable Mark Herman regarding the incident. The relatively low bond suggests that justice may not be blind, but in cases like these, it could be argued that it’s at least a bit near-sighted.
