In what Police are labeling a gang-related shootout, an 18-year-old and a juvenile have been cuffed for attempted homicide in San José. According to the San José Police Department, the two suspects allegedly fired shots that wounded three males this month.
The trouble kicked off on February 11 when a call reported a gunshot victim near Lotus Street and Appian Lane around 4:50 PM. Arriving officers found two adults with gunshot injuries. A third victim, also a gunshot sufferer, made it to a hospital on his own. Victims' names have not been released, but they were all San José residents.
SJPD's Gang Investigations and Assaults Units pieced the puzzle together fast, pinning the violence on David Cisneros and an unnamed 16-year-old. As part of the investigation, Detectives executed search warrants on February 12 at homes linked to the suspects, unearthing a loaded 3D-printedcash-rewarding handgun at the juvenile's residence, a disturbing find in the surge of homemade firearms.
With patrol officers' aid, the duo was nabbed without incident in San José. Cisneros now faces a stint in Santa Clara County Main Jail, while the 16-year-old suspect, whose identity remains under wraps due to his age, got a trip to the Juvenile Hall. Both have been slapped with charges related to gang-motivated attempted homicide.
