
A fender-bender caused a major headache for Austin drivers Wednesday evening. The Austin Police Department alerted commuters to a two-vehicle collision that prompted the temporary shuttering of lanes on US Highway 183 northbound, which have since been reopened.

The incident, which occurred between the 12800 and 13000 blocks of the highway, was reported by CBS Austin on March 7. Drivers experienced significant delays as a result of the collision and two lanes were shut down, although, they were later reopened.
"All previous roadway closures are back open. The scene is no longer active." The initial closure and ensuing congestion slowed down the night's traffic considerably. Traffic returned to normal, as per the Austin Police Department
