Two women are behind bars after a violent clash in Harris County, with one accused of using a stun gun on a man and the other charged with stabbing him in the back of the head, officials said. The altercation unfolded on March 17 in the 7200 block of the N Grand Parkway W, where deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office were summoned over reports of a disturbance. The suspects, identified as Lashonda Ruth and Malaysia Ruth, were quickly detained by the arriving officers.
An investigation by the deputies indicated a heated verbal exchange turned physically brutal, culminating with Malaysia Ruth allegedly striking the victim with a stun gun four times when the man endeavored to extricate himself and leave, Lashonda Ruth purportedly plunged a large carving knife into his skull, Constable Herman's office reported.
While the full circumstances leading up to this brutal assault remain under investigation the chilling details outlined by authorities paint a disturbing picture of a dispute escalating into savage violence, "They were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. Lashonda Latrice Ruth was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Her bond was set at $50,000.00 out of the 338th District Court. Malaysia Symone Ruth was charged with Assault and received a $100.00 bond out of County Court 10." Constable Herman declared.
Lashonda Ruth's possible release is contingent on posting a substantial bond and her accomplice facing an expedited release due to the comparatively inconsequential bond amount assigned to her by the court.
