
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is calling on the community to urgently help find 68-year-old Latanya Baker, who went missing in Arcadia. Baker, a Black female, was last seen on the afternoon of March 4, in the 5600 block of Gracewood Avenue, according to the LASD - Los Angeles County Sheriffs Dept Information Bureau.
Baker stands 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 300 pounds with black hair and black eyes. Her last known attire included a brown dress coupled with blue slippers. Officials expressed their concern as Baker is described to both have health and mental disorders, making her dependent on necessary medication. The Sheriff's Department noted that her well-being is of significant concern.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Missing Persons Unit is leading the search and is encouraging anyone with information about Baker's whereabouts to come forward and assist in their efforts. They emphasize the urgency of the search given Baker's health concerns. Police stress the absence of this essential medication could potentially be a direct threat to her safety.
