The Oakland Police Department has issued an urgent call for help from the public in finding 87-year-old Fu Sheng Yee, who is missing and at risk due to his age and dementia. Yee was last seen on March 10, in the vicinity of the 1900 block of 38th Avenue, sporting a light tan sweatsuit at around 8:30 AM, according to a statement from the department.
An 87-year-old Chinese male with a light complexion, Yee, stands 5 feet tall and weighs 110 pounds. He has a blend of grey and black hair and black eyes; the family has indicated that Yee is otherwise in good physical shape despite his medical condition. He has a known history of frequenting locales throughout Oakland, including China Town, the Eastmont AC Transit Station, the Bayfair Mall, and its associated AC Transit Station in San Leandro.
The Oakland Police are intensifying efforts to locate Yee and are appealing for support from both the community and media outlets to spread the word about this vulnerable individual's disappearance. They hold hope that increased awareness will lead to his safe return.
