In a crackdown that's stirring up Wildomar, three residents found themselves on the wrong side of the law after a suspicious residence on Wesley Street turned into the epicenter of a raid by the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Team (SET). Based on neighborhood complaints, the SET swung into action, uncovering a stash of narcotics and identifying a staggering array of illegal activities.
Tracy Plummer, 57, Tony Goff, 50, and Erick Perry, 60, were all contacted at the residence on February 28. In the search that followed, deputies didn't just find drugs – they hit the mother load: a gamut of drugs including 5 ounces of methamphetamine, 18 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 4 grams of heroin, and paraphernalia. Not to mention, the small detail of a stolen trailer and motorcycle tucked away on the premises, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
As the cuffs clicked, two Wildomar residents were whisked away to the Cois Byrd Detention Center, their fates sealed by the evidence spread out on the evidence table. The residence, a homely exterior belying its illicit heartbeat, became a crime scene. Plummer faced charges for possession of narcotics with intent to distribute, while Goff got a longer rap sheet, charged with possession and intent to distribute narcotics, also tagged for a stolen vehicle and operating a chop shop.
As the investigation continues to unfold, further details remain snug in the sheriff's files; however, the department encourages anyone with information to step up and contact Deputy Crivello at (951) 245-3300, or Sheriff's Dispatch at (951) 776-1099 for less urgent reports, with an unwavering reminder that emergencies should dial 911, as per the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
Queries about this incident funnel through the Media Information Bureau, though they're keeping details close to their chest amidst the ongoing investigation. But Wildomar can sleep a little easier tonight, knowing some of its alleged wolves in sheep's clothing are behind bars and off the streets.
