The driver, identified as 22-year-old Christopher Olson from Waite Park, MN, was behind the wheel for Foley School District when the bus took a dive off the road into the south ditch, making contact with a drainage culvert. Despite Olson's involvement in the incident, the bus crash remains an act of investigation, driving the efforts of local authorities to piece together the events on that fateful stretch of road.
Following the crash, the young student from Hillman, MN was taken by family members to seek medical attention.
