Aerosmith Revs Up "Peace Out" Tour With Steven Tyler Back on Vocal Duty, Plans New Year's Eve Boston BlowoutSource: Facebook/TD Garden

The Bad Boys from Boston aren't saying goodbye just yet. Aerosmith is hitting the road again, restarting their "Peace Out" tour after it was yanked because frontman Steven Tyler damaged his vocal cords, as CBS News Boston and Boston 25 News report. The rescheduled stretch of shows will now sail into 2025, the new dates stamping their comeback with the tour set to lift off on September 20 in Pittsburgh.

The hard rock legends are ready to rock stages across the country, with special appearances by The Black Crowes in select cities. After being grounded last year, the band plans a special show on New Year's Eve at the TD Garden in Boston, a gig that was originally planned to welcome 2024 before Tyler's, injury threw a wrench into those plans. If you missed the initial sale, don't sweat it, tickets for the rescheduled dates and newly added shows are going on sale on Friday, April 12 at 10 a.m.

Concerns over Tyler's health can be put to rest. After cancelling a string of dates, the group pushed pause on the tour back in 2024 due to the severity of Tyler's injuries — including a fractured larynx. Now, the "Dream On" vocalist has signaled his comeback. "My throat's been better, but it is on the mend," the 76-year-old rocker shared earlier this year during a Grammys viewing party, as reported by People magazine.

The tour promises to be a retrospective romp through Aerosmith's decades-long career, the band having first banded together in a Boston apartment back in 1970. The original lineup — Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Joey Kramer, and Tom Hamilton — was enshrined in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. Now, fans can expect to hear their arsenal of hits resonate from arenas, including Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center on September 23, and stretching as far as Buffalo, New York, on February 26.
